  2. I agree to obtain or provide a minimum of $100 sponsorship by 28 June 2019 to be contributed to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in connection with my participation.  I understand that if I do not provide the minimum donation of $100 by 28 June 2019, I will not be registered to participate in the City2Surf.
  3. I acknowledge that the primary form of communication regarding details of my participation will be conducted by email. I take full responsibility for checking my emails on a regular basis for current event information.
  4. My sponsors will not be entitled to a tax receipt unless I provide you with their full names and addresses, and I agree to do that.  Tax receipts can only be issued by The Children's Hospital at Westmead and will be sent at the conclusion of the event.
  5. My sponsors and I will coordinate accordingly to enter their sponsorship details on the DOOLEYS City2Surf website page, or alternatively arrange for payments to be made at DOOLEYS Health + Fitness.
  6. The City2Surf event is not being organised by DOOLEYS or by The Children's Hospital at Westmead Team Bandaged Bear Challenge.  Neither organisation makes any representation, gives any warranty or accepts any commitment or obligation and neither accepts or has any responsibility or liability, in relation to my participation or in connection with preparations for or conduct of the event, nor for any delay or cancellation or concerning anything in connection with the event.  Any implied term, condition or warranty that would otherwise apply or be implied is excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  7. There is no legal reason preventing me from participating in the 2019 Sun-Herald City2Surf.
  8. Participation is completely and solely at my own risk. It is my responsibility to satisfy myself that I am fit to participate and that I do not have any personal or medical condition, injury or illness that would expose me, or any other participant or official, to any physical risk from my participation.

  11. I will abide by all reasonable directions and requests from either DOOLEYS or The Children’s Hospital at Westmead at any time in connection with my participation.
  12. DOOLEYS is authorised to make any and all appropriate registrations in connection with the event in my name and on my behalf including making any selection necessary in connection with the event.  The Club is also authorised to use my name and likeness (including but not limited to photos) for any publicity in connection with my participation or the involvement of the Club in the event.  DOOLEYS is also authorised for, or in connection with, any of those purposes to provide any of my personal details to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead and to the event organisers, and also to anyone else where such information is reasonably required in connection with my participation.
  13. Any liability of the Club for breach of any warranty implied by section 74 of the Trade Practices Act is excluded, but only to the extent that the liabilities relate to death or personal injury.  Nothing in this warning excludes, modifies or limits any warranty or term implied or imposed by any statute which may not, under the terms of the statute, be excluded, modified or limited.
  14. In particular, I acknowledge that my dress and behaviour in connection with my participation will reflect on the other participants, DOOLEYS and The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.  Accordingly, at all times my conduct and behaviour will be proper and beyond reproach.  I will act and participate with appropriate decorum in a manner that respects and conforms to the objects, culture and standards of DOOLEYS.
  15. Without limiting those general words, I will participate wearing only regular running apparel without any other apparel or object and without carrying or display any marketing or other marking or message (apart from standard manufacturers’ markings on standard consumer apparel items), that has not first been approved by DOOLEYS in writing.  The Club is not obliged to give any approval.
  16. I will not seek to make any display or to directly or indirectly push any message other than the support of DOOLEYS for The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.  I will not do anything to damage the reputation or standing of the Club or the Hospital that causes either of them any embarrassment.
